Back in 2015, we installed a 13kWp Solar PV installation on a District Council offices in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. This array is still to this day performing well, however in 2022 they set out a tender for the installation of a further 89.7kWp array to demonstrate to the community their ongoing efforts to become net zero by 2030.
This project required a planning application to be submitted, as it was within the curtilage of a grade II listed building. This application was approved within 3 months of being applied for.
The Council invested £152,000 towards this scheme, and have seen a reduction on their grid consumed electricity of nearly 30%.
The council have been delighted with both of their installations, and they upload monthly data to their website which shows their ongoing efforts. The council also instructed us to install a TV in their reception, showing the SolarEdge monitoring platform which can be viewed by all visitors.
