Sales Executive

Amelio Solar Energy is progressing to be recognised as the leading Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging installer in the region, delivering the best technological solutions, with staff that are experts in their field.

There is now an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking Sales Executive to join this progressive renewable energy company based in Lincoln.  The company has grown substantially in the last 3 years and is now looking for a dedicated individual to take the company’s sales forward in the domestic and local commercial markets.

Main responsibilities:

Executing the Amelio Solar Energy marketing strategy for domestic and local commercial customers

Growing profitability from the domestic and local commercial Solar PV and battery market

Developing key ongoing relationships and sales through referrals

Achieving personal and company revenue and profitability targets

Person Specification:

This role demands a consultative selling process and being able to demonstrate an excellent ability in this is essential.

Communication skills: you will demonstrate exceptional communication skills that are especially important in developing relationships internally as well as externally.

You must be able to manage your own workload, working to targets and communicating this with colleagues.

You must be able to tailor key sales messages in relation to customer needs in clear, simple, digestible and convincing terms, even when the best solutions are complex.  Such skills must be excellent in both written and verbal form and be delivered with the right level of gravitas.

Technological: Whilst no experience is needed in Solar PV or EV Charging, you should be able to demonstrate where you have learnt complex technical issues in the past.  You must also have excellent IT skills and be able to create attractive visually and verballing engaging reports and presentations relevant to customers’ needs.  A knowledge of buildings would be an advantage, although not essential.

Analytical skills: you must be numerically intelligent and (with training) be able to analyse customers’ energy usage and present sound arguments for the optimum technical solutions.

Interpersonal skills: you will possess good interpersonal skills with empathy to customers.  You must be motivated and have an entrepreneurial spirit and approach, whilst being comfortable in a fast paced environment.

Role Responsibility:

To identify customers’ needs for renewable energy (Solar PV and battery storage) using a consultative approach and to provide the right technical solutions to match their needs and achieve their goals.  The following main areas will be key:

  • Customer focus – a consultative selling approach
  • Developing a detailed technical understanding of the solutions we offer
  • Achieving revenue and profitability targets
  • Growing customer spend
  • Gaining referrals
  • Ability to drive own activity levels
  • Understanding our competitive position at the high quality end of the market
  • Keeping accurate records
  • Contributing to sales/brand/market development activities
  • Being able to be the face of Amelio Solar Energy to our domestic customers

…and finally, we are not necessarily looking for someone experienced in our field, however we are looking for someone willing to learn, develop and grow into this role.

Salary:

We are looking to pay a basic salary of £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience plus company car and a performance based increment.  25 days holiday a year (and your birthday!).  Death in Service, sickness benefit and pension scheme following probationary period.  Medical Insurance benefit after 1 year’s service.
