Solar PV and battery storage systems specialists Amelio Solar Energy triumphed at the East Midlands Energy Efficiency Awards, which were hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham Gateway Hotel on March 21st.
Amelio Solar Energy was recognised for its energy-saving installation on the roofs of North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) and its ongoing commitment to helping the Council in its ambition to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
The Award sponsored by Yes Energy Solutions was presented to Amelio Solar Energy, a Lincoln company, in recognition of an exceptional regional project that demonstrated a high standard of quality workmanship and a dedication to excellent customer service.
Managing Director, Richard Jones, Commercial Director Sam Reid, and Solar PV Advisor and Designer Graham Bell received the Award in front of an audience of over 130 hundred representatives from the Energy Efficiency Industry. Individuals and organisations committed to supporting homeowners and workplaces in achieving a greener future.
The NKDC installation of 195 solar panels significantly improved the Council’s sustainability credentials and reduced ongoing electricity costs by 21%. The partnership with Amelio Solar Energy has saved the Local Authority over 14 tons of CO2 per year, the equivalent of 655 planted trees, reinforcing its role as a green leader in the community.
Receiving the Award, Richard Jones, Managing Director of Amelio Solar Energy, said:
“We are delighted to receive this Award for our work with North Kesteven District Council. The Award is a testament to our team’s commitment to providing optimum solar and energy efficiency solutions and helping homes and workplaces to achieve electricity freedom.”
